76-48 Record – Cubs haters coming out of woodwork

So what’s up with all of the Cubs haters? Usually hatred is spawned by jealousy. Let’s be honest, how much would it just piss you Cubs haters off to know that the Cubs would garner some of the biggest ratings in World Series history if they make it to the big show, and not only that it would be one of the biggest stories in sports EVER…..a team winning in their 100th year anniversary? It’s brilliant.

You know what I like the best, is my friends who have claimed to be Cubs fans (only because I have hook up to tickets) and in ’05 when the White Sox went to the WS they suddenly jumped on that bandwagon. Now those types of fans are b.s. and shouldn’t be allowed to even go to any playoff game, but I think the worst people are the Cubs haters. Why do you invest so much time and energy hating a sports team? I mean, I dislike the Yankees and White Sox, but I could give two craps what they do, I certainly don’t waste my time on blogs and facebook or even mypsace making comments about them. That’s just devoting energy to something I don’t like and makes me look even sillier.

To all of the Cubs haters who see the month of September looming, the one month that decides it all and you know the Cubs still have one of the best records in baseball, percentage on base, several players continuiing their above .500 average hitting streak and of course the forever beloved, true, die-hard fans that have loved them win or lose: GET A CLUE. When we win it all, you know we have come to DESERVE IT. Just accept it….it’s the only thing you can do. It’s OUR time. No curses, no history of bad playoffs or your bitterness can take that away from us.
