For all of the Cubs Haters – post here!

Ok so after I posted the “Cubs @ Dodgers series,” I received a ton of posts that basically bash anything and everything Chicago Cubs.

If you have any negative things to say about Cubs fans, the Cubs, Wrigley or whatever feel free to post here. I was going to respond to the numerous backlash I received on that post and decided that, while I disagree with ALL OF YOU, you probably deserve your own entry on my blog.

First of all, the fact that you take so much time and effort to post something negative shows me that you are bitter and jealous. I don’t like many teams, but my care factor is about a zero on posting anything about them on my blog or anyone else’s. You know why? Because the more attention you pay to a team just proves that they are huge and have a big following.

As for posting the entry that some people are sick of hearing the Cubs fans say “this is the year,” oh have a heart. In a crappy economy it’s nice to be passionate about something. Who cares if it’s not the year, or who cares if we say it every year. Every year we have some glimmering hope, and while the Cubs have even let me down like a constant cheating boyfriend, I still believe, because when they do win it all, I can say I always believed.

And as for those of you who say it will never happen, no way could you be a true baseball fan, and the team you favor should be ashamed of you for that matter. When the Boston Red Sox destroyed their curse and won it all I was happy for them. You know why? It makes GREAT BASEBALL!

And another last (but good) point for you Cubs haters (and I can feel your nostrils flaring as you read this and you are ready to lash back). You should want us to win. WHY? Because then maybe we’ll shut up for awhile. Ever think of that?

Don’t be such a hater, it’s a wasted emotion. Besides, the more you hate, the more we love love love our Cubbies. And believe me when I say that when they go all the way, it will be one of the BIGGEST moments in sports history.
